Domestic high-performance DPU chip "intelligent calculation polishing" released

On the 21st, China Mobile, together with Huawei, ZTE, Huasan, Rui Jie, Shengke, Yunbao Intelligent and other industrial partners, jointly released the world's first full scheduling Ethernet (GSE) DPU chip - "intelligent calculation polishing". This innovative achievement marks a major breakthrough in the field of high-performance DPU chips in China's new intelligent computing center network, filling a gap in related fields.


The "Intelligent Cut" chip is the first DPU chip that fully supports the GSE standard, has a 200G port rate, and supports GSE protocol specific packet container spraying and DGSQ-based congestion control mechanism.

The release of this chip not only improves the communication efficiency between GPU nodes, but also improves the performance of the GSE network based on this chip by more than 30% compared with the traditional RoCE network, providing strong support for the high-speed switching network of large-scale GPU clusters.


It is reported that the full scheduling Ethernet (GSE) technology proposed by China Mobile has jointly launched the "GSE Promotion Plan" with more than 50 industrial, academic and research institutions at home and abroad. The program aims to create a new network technology standard of intelligent computing center with open standards and win-win cooperation, and form two influential technology systems in the world with the Super Ethernet Alliance (UEC) led by American companies.


The Data Processing Unit (DPU) chip is designed to handle network transmission, data security and infrastructure tasks in the data center to reduce the burden on the CPU in these tasks. In the intelligent GPU cluster, the DPU network card chip, as the hub of the connection between the computer and the network, is one of the core chips to realize the end network cooperation network.


The release of the "intelligent computing polishing" chip not only improves China's independent innovation capability in the field of high-performance network chips, but also helps to promote the development of network technology in China's intelligent computing center. On a global scale, this technological breakthrough is expected to promote industrial cooperation, accelerate technological innovation, and contribute Chinese wisdom to the development of global intelligent computing center network technology.
