SK Hynix stated that it will work with SanDisk to jointly promote HBF to become an industry-wide standard. The two parties have established a special working group based on the OCP framework and have officially initiated the standardization formulation of HBF to strengthen its position in the chip market.

Jiejie Microelectronics raised the prices of its MOS series products by 10%-20%, to take effect from February 1st. China Resources Microelectronics also clearly stated that it would start raising the prices of all series of microelectronic products from February 1st, with a minimum increase of 10%.

From the supply side, the price increase of MOSFETs first originated from the rigid squeeze on the cost end. The material costs in the packaging process were the first to be affected, with the prices of key precious metals such as copper, silver, and palladium rising significantly. As of the end of January 2026, the international silver price had increased by 282% compared to the beginning of 2025, the tin price by 89%, and the copper price by 48%, directly impacting the production bottom line of MOSFETs.
